Sophie's Misfortunes - Paperback

by Comtesse de Ségur (Author)

The story takes place at a country estate in Second Empire France where Sophie lives with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. de Réan. Curious and adventurous, she gets into one scrape after another with the critical complicity of her cousin Paul, who is good-natured and whose aunt shows her the way. Her friends are Camille and Madeleine de Fleurville, model young girls whom she struggles to emulate.
