The Letter
October 2026
Dear Cottage Lover,
October is arriving gently, with its crisp mornings, gardens taking on deeper hues, and that golden light we love so much in English cottages.
It is the time when the home becomes a little cozier. A candle lit in the late afternoon, a good book placed by an armchair, a few dried flowers in an antique vase… Small details take on all their importance.
A little autumn inspiration
For this month of October, we are dreaming of an interior in tones of cream, beige, dusty pink, and terracotta, accompanied by soft textures and floral patterns.
On a table, a few seasonal flowers in a pretty vase. By a window, an open book and a cup of tea. And as evening falls, the glow of candles gently completes this atmosphere.
Autumn is a feeling as much as it is a season.
The book on our bedside table
To accompany autumn evenings, why not return to the pages of a great classic of English literature?
A novel by Jane Austen, a cup of tea, and a few hours of reading: a simple way to rediscover the timeless elegance that inspires us so much.
From the Cottage & Bloom garden
October reminds us that the beauty of a garden does not disappear when summer comes to an end.
The hydrangeas take on delicate shades, the foliage tints with gold, and the last flowers still provide a few touches of color.
Perhaps that is what we love most about the cottage garden: a beauty that changes, rather than a beauty that disappears.
A little note from Cottage & Bloom
Thank you for being part of this little home we are building around the charm of English cottages, flowers, books, and objects that tell a story.
We hope that The Letter will accompany you each month like a piece of correspondence from an English cottage.
With all our warmth,
Cottage & Bloom
The poetry of old, the charm of cherished memories.
